In Alabama, we are proud that there are a lot of fairs and festivals. Off hand, I'd have to say that the National Peanut Festival is one that immediately comes to mind. It is celebrated during the harvest season and is something to honor the peanut growers. And, like similar events, the festival is also chock full of interesting activities like rides, and outdoor amphitheater and others.

One of the more interesting parts of the National Peanut Festival, and the other fairs in Alabama as well, is the craft show exhibitions. Talents coming from all over the Heart of Dixie converge to show off and peddle their crafts and works. This is the place to go if one wishes to find something different and unique.

Maybe you yourself have an interest in the arts. Perhaps you have been dabbling in your craft in your spare time, but are afraid of showing off the products of your efforts. Whether it be a skill with a paintbrush or a talent for carving wooden sculptures, you should not be afraid to share your art, for they should be rightly admired. Who can tell? You may even bring in a decent amount of money from it.

It's a good idea to join a craft show, and see what other talented people have to offer. You may feel unsure at first, and that's normal; if you want to build up your confidence, start by visiting the booths and observe the works of other people. You might even be able to integrate their ideas in with your own and produce better crafts. But, in any case, do not be held back by your own fear.

I do encourage you to go out and wow the world with your skills. God has gifted each one of us with a unique talent and it is there for a purpose. The arts have a far reach and who knows? You may be able to touch someone and change a life for the better. You never know. So, don't delay! Look up some craft shows in Alabama right now!
