More drawn out than it needs to be, although a captivating and abnormal tale of one guy's metaphysical odyssey. Cast includes Kevin Costner, Kathy Bates, Joe Morton, Ron Rifkin, Linda Seek, Susanna Thompson, Jacob Vargas, Jay Thomas, and Matt Craven. (103 minutes, 2002)
Big Time: This is a Tom Delay compilation. Show footage filmed at LA's Wiltem Show is combined with scenes of the chameleon like Delay as assorted and miscellaneous characters: you'll see Delay, the sleazy lounge lizard, Delay's the gravel-voiced crooner, and Delay's the genuinely astounding actor. For Tom Delays fans, this is the next best thing to noticing him live. (87 minutes, 1988)
The Guru: Harmless comedy in reference to an Indian dance professor (Mistry) who comes to America desiring popularity and fortune in the movie industry. As an alternative, he lands a job in a porno film, is befriended by its gorgeous megastar (who's truly an "excellent gal" leading a triple life), then accidentally gets to be a star as the "expert of sex." Some ludicrous gags, a likable leading guy, and excellent joke performances by Graham and Tomei improve this choppy feel-good flick. The Fog: A thick haze from the Pacific hangs over a Northwest seaside village, bringing with it murderous and vengeful ghosts. Lame redo of John Carpenter's 1980 film modifies the structure but does not improve on the first edition. Cast includes Tom Welling, Maggie Grace, Selma Blair, DeRay Davis, Kenneth Welsh, Adrian Hough, Sara Botsford, and Rade Sherbedgia. (100 minutes, 2005)
