Many of the online experts in this industry will tell you all the same old stuff just hoping you'll sign up with them and help make them rich, but before you commit to anyone you should consider a few keys things that will help you succeed.
#1 MINDSET is KEY! The only people I like to work with are those who have the right attitude and a SUCCESSFUL mindset. I don't care what kind of background they have, but if they have a real DESIRE and MINDSET to SUCCEED then they are the kind of people I want to be around. So look for a mentor who is DRIVEN and also wants to HELP OTHERS.
#2 What's Your DESIRE? You need a REAL DESIRE - one that LIGHTS A FIRE inside of you. Many people say "I want a nice House" I want a nice car" .... but dig a bit deeper. Why do you want those things? Is it because you want to have a home big enough for your kids to have their own rooms with a backyard and a puppy? Or perhaps you really want to have that awesome car because you have always driven a bomb and never owned a Brand New car in your life and love that "New Car Smell"? Perhaps you want to travel to Africa and help build a school? Whatever it is .... write it down and look at it everyday!
#3 When joining a company you need to have a passion for what they are marketing. There is no point trying to market beauty products when your daily make-up routine is lip gloss and some mascara in between changing nappies. Choose something you feel you could talk about sincerely. I love Personal Development, so the company I chose markets motivational type products and I find my work really easy.
#4 How's the MONEY? It's REALLY important to check how much you're going to get paid for the type of work you will actually have to do. I once joined a Multi-Level-Marketing company who promised the world, only to realise I had to leave my baby 4 nights a week attending meetings, I earned REALLY crappy money and any actual profits I was pushed into buying training material. There are SO many more lucrative opportunities on offer these days and the internet has just made it a whole lot easier.
#5 TRAINING - Check if they offer you good training and also if you have to pay EXTRA. Personally I think it should be included, but even in traditional businesses like Franchises they make you PAY for all this. Also how much SUPPORT are you going to get and for how long? The more training and personal mentoring on offer the more likely you are to stick around and succeed.
#6 Are you COACHABLE? And ... Are you DISCIPLINED? If you want a job thn go and get a typing job online, but most of the "Work From Home" business opportunities that offer the big dollars are run just like a business, so if you want to succeed you have to treat it like one. Don't stress I had never run my own business before, but if you're willing to learn then sign up with your chosen company and soak it all up like a sponge!
Overall there's lots of money to be made online and that's why so many people are attracted to the industry. The people who take it seriously and want to make serious money will absolutely love it. For many of you it's a whole new world and while it maybe challenging and a bit daunting there's nothing better than working from home and spending more time with the people who really matter in your life.
